  abstract  = {Nowadays, in the context of Industry 4.0 maintenance controlling is a data-driven, pro-active and highly analytical element of a successful, requirement-specific and customer-driven fixed asset controlling. This article shows both from a theoretical as well as practical perspective the necessity, benefits, structure as well as methods and procedures to establish an effective controlling of assets in a smart factory eironment.
