N2  - Nowadays, in the context of Industry 4.0 maintenance controlling is a data-driven, pro-active and highly analytical element of a successful, requirement-specific and customer-driven fixed asset controlling. This article shows both from a theoretical as well as practical perspective the necessity, benefits, structure as well as methods and procedures to establish an effective controlling of assets in a smart factory eironment. Abstract in German: Die fortschreitende Digitalisierung der industriellen Fertigung verändert die Ressourcenstruktur und -charakteristik von produktivem Anlagevermögen nachhaltig. Im folgenden Beitrag wird ein Metamodell für ein anforderungsgerechtes Controlling der Anlageninstandhaltung im Zeitalter von Industrie 4.0 skizziert sowie ein Vorgehensmodell zur praktischen Umsetzung des Konzeptes aufgezeigt.
