N2  - The consideration of supply chain flows is often limited to the flows of goods and information. However, the supply chain is also significantly influenced by the different financial flows between supply chain partners. The article targets clarity about different definitions of supply chain finance and its affiliation to supply chain management on the one hand, as well as its importance along the whole supply chain. Furthermore, the most important supply chain finance concepts are presented as an overview. Abstract in German: Die Betrachtung der Supply Chain-Flüsse ist oft auf Güter- und Informationsflüsse beschränkt. Jedoch ist die Lieferkette weiterhin wesentlich durch die verschiedenen Finanzflüsse zwischen den Supply Chain-Partnern beeinflusst. Der Beitrag soll zum einen Klarheit über die verschiedenen Definitionen von Supply Chain Finance sowie ihre Einbettung in das Supply Chain Management bringen, als auch deren Wichtigkeit über die gesamte Lieferkette analysieren. Weiterhin werden die geläufigsten Supply Chain Finance-Konzepte überblicksartig vorgestellt.
